Arsenal v Middlesbrough
I finally went to my first football match yesterday. My company bought Arsenal season tickets this year to distribute amongst clients and employees. Arsenal was due to crush Middlesbrough (aka Boro) but that didn't happen so the fan atmosphere quickly turned sour as Boro was ahead 1 - 0 for most of the game. I wanted to learn some team chants but people were mainly shouting random swear words. There was a lot of 'oh for fuck's sake' and 'you're a wanker' and 'you're a cunt'. So now you all know how to swear properly if ever in England!
I actually knew some of the players since I watched a lot of the World Cup this year. Freddie Ljungberg (you may know as the CK model), Thierry Henry, and Jens Lehmann (that really great German goal keeper) all play for Arsenal.

Don't the players look so tiny and cute? Looks like a foosball table from the upper stands.

The weird thing about the game is that people don't eat and aren't allowed to drink in the bleachers. So unlike a baseball game where the best part of the game is the 9 course meal. I miss random baseball games! - - - Catch the shoutout to Pauline?
